Wednesday Whining
Ususally I get an extra pep in my step when Wednesday rolls around. I think maybe its been the gloomy weather around Charleston the past couple of days (not that my grass and flowers are complaining). At least in 48 hours I can start my weekend. I love summer breeze hours (especially on Fridays). Oh and don't forget.... Shark Week starts on Sunday 07/31. Exciting.

Productive weekend
My mission this weekend was to find a small end table for my living room and 2 more chairs for my kitchen table. My mom and I went to some yard sales and I found a little side table for my living room. Then we headed to breakfast and then over to Habitat for Humanity in Summerville/Jedburg (I think we passed a Jedburg sign). There I found the 2 chairs. The chairs needed a little TLC but they are good solid wood chairs. They will look like new after a little sanding and paint. Next I headed over to Lowes and bought paint for the chairs and table. I bought an Almond color for the chairs and a fun green for the table. I still can't get over the how many different shades of green paint there is and that was only @ Lowes. I'll have to post before and after pictures. I haven't gotten to the "after" part yet but I'm going to hopefully get to it this weekend. Oh and I can take awesome pictures b/c of my awesome new camera. So as soon as I get a chance I will post the pictures of my yard sale finds. It was actually a lot of fun and I even did a little barganing. Sunday I headed over to the pool. The weather this weekend was fab and I don't remember summer weather in Charleston like that in a really long time. Looking forward to Wednesday. My mom and sister are coming over for dinner. I'm going to grill Salmon and then attempt zucchini cakes. The recipe looks pretty easy and the picture along with the recipe looks delish...

Birthday parties, presents, hangovers and Mr. 3000
So this past Thursday (07/07) was my birthday. I did a small dinner @ my parents where I got some awesome birthday presents from the family. Colleen got me a no gravity chair for the beach. I have been obsessed with these all summer so I can't wait to break it in next weekend.
My parents got me the Cannon Rebel Eos. I've been wanting to take up photography as a hobby. It is a whole lot of camera but i'm hoping that Vee will be my photography mentor.

There were a few pickled Mexicans, some frothy yellow shot, vodka waters with 2 lemons and then around 12:30 it was time for me to go home. So with Lindsey and Colleen in tow I headed home. I woke up the next day praying to the porcelain God and I did not even start to feel semi normal until almost 5:00 pm.
All in all my birthday weekend was a great time and I have an awesome family, friends and boyfriend to thank for that. Turning 33 isn't too bad...
Oh and of course Derek Jeter hit # 3000 on Saturday July 9th. I was awake for that and it was glorious.

I also got 2 dozen beautiful roses and a couple of gift cards to Pier 1 Imports. Friday Colleen and I tried to continue my birthday celebration by heading out to Folly but the weather was not permitting this weekend. However we did get a pedicure. Friday night we all went to dinner at Zocalo's out in North Charleston around the Park Circle area. The dinner was really good and the drinks weren't too bad either..
We continued onto Wild Wings and this is where things may have taken a small turn for the worse. Colleen though it would be funny to buy me a shot of Chartreuse. It literally tasted like Lysol. It was horrible. She laughed.
